Vice President | Club Officers

Conor is a new-comer to the sport of rugby, showing up in 2009 on a dare from Dan Carpenter. He showed up in a $20 pair of sneakers and an old mouth guard, but has advanced to the height of rugby fashion, usually being the only player sporting bright red shoes and demanding "a jersey I can spray-paint on." He began his career at wing, because "the girls are on the sidelines." The coach maintains that he went to wing because the only thing he can do is run, and he's less likely to get the ball out there.
He spends his work as a corporate real estate advisor for Seattle's leading tenant advisory firm, and is a local native of the area. He takes pride in being the best Division II men's rugby playing athlete in the northwest in his family. His brother takes pride in playing for the New York Yankees and seeing himself on SportCenter. Conor used to compete in triathlons, is an decent rock-climber (as in he's still alive), likes fly-fishing and hunting, and most activities where he can try to take his shirt off. He's not allowed in any McDonald's west of the Mississippi.
Conor has had success at several sports in his life, even playing baseball in college, but says that "Rugby, in the purest sense, embodies everything that is great about male friendships: camaraderie, support of others, leading by placing the needs of others ahead of yourself, and being a leader by sacrificing yourself for the advancement of the whole. There is a role for every person, and everyone is accepted, not by ability, but effort. It's the only sport I've played that breaks down the individual and shuns him for celebrating his own achievements, and promotes the celebration of his teammates."
The vice president oversees recruiting and fundraising activities and assumes the duties of the president in his absence.
